About Our Coaching

Coach and Client find Treasure.jpg

Coaching is a goal-directed form of reflective enquiry in which clients increase their self-awareness and perspective on their life as well as their resources. When clients reach a deeper and broader understanding of the challenges that brought them to coaching, their values and needs – the ‘next step’, the solution to their challenges often becomes very evident to them.

This inherently strength-based and client centered approach makes coaching a very empowering experience above and beyond the solutions or strategies developed and implemented.

A large part of coaching neurodivergent clients is psychoeducation about ADHD because when people understand their brain, they usually lose a sense of moral failing about ‘being out of synch’ with the rest of the world. ADHD coaching supports clients to find their potential, their goals, and offers neurodivergent friendly strategies and support systems.

Coaching is not therapy: therapy and psychological support focus on mental health and emotional healing.

About Swantje

Swantje Lorrimer is a Sydney-based ADHD coach with a unique blend of professional expertise and lived experience. Holding ADHD Life Coaching credentials from the esteemed ADD Coaching Academy (ADDCA) in New York, she is an active member of several professional coaching associations, ensuring her practice is grounded in best practices and current research.

Beyond her coaching credentials, Swantje brings a profound maturity and depth of understanding informed by her postgraduate degree in Philosophy and Social Sciences. This academic foundation provides her with a nuanced perspective on human behaviour and societal dynamics, enriching her coaching approach.

Swantje has worked in academic research (medical ethics) as well as in various creative roles in the entertainment industry. She is a bespoke tailor and has created many costumes for film and stage, including Star Wars, Disney Musicals and various shows in the London West End.

Most importantly, Swantje is a proud mother of three neurodivergent young adults, providing her with invaluable firsthand experience with the complexities and triumphs of neurodivergence within families. How I work

To get the best possible benefit from coaching, clients need to commit to the process for a 3-month period, I recommend 6 months of coaching to achieve deep and sustainable change.

I see clients fortnightly for a 50 min session and provide them with the notes of our session as well as related evidence based and personalised resources.

I coach mostly via telehealth, but clients are welcome to face to face sessions in my Chatswood based workroom.

Would you like to know more about my coaching influences, approaches and philosophy?

Then head over to MY APPROACH

Not everyone who needs support for ADHD, ASD and AuDHD wants coaching!

Some clients are seeking information and insights related to ADHD and ASD, because they may not be ready for change or don’t have enough space and emotional resources to engage in coaching.

For these clients I offer a 3-session Meet your ADHD Brain package, which combines consultation and mentorship; in our 3 fortnightly sessions we discuss and explore the client’s concerns and questions all things neurodiversity and we draw on neuroscience and evidence-based ADHD research to give you exactly what you need.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’d like to explore working with me, I invite you to book a free discovery call to discuss your situation and needs. This gives us an opportunity to see if we are a good fit and if we are – then we create a plan that works for you.
